One of my long term projects is going through all of my magazines, scanning the pages I would like to remember into my computer and then passing the magazines along to family or friends. I am getting closer to being done and have recently hooked the scanner back up to my laptop in the kitchen so I can do a little at a time while I am doing other stuff. One of my favorite and most missed magazines is Mary Engelbreit’s Home Companion. I hope she will be back someday but in the mean time I can still enjoy my “vintage” issues. This particular photo I really love because of the daring color choices made by the homeowner. I think she can really get away with it because of her surrounding gardens. If this house just sat in the middle of a lawn it would perhaps be the neighborhood eyesore.

It totally reminds me of Florida! Wonder where this house is situated?
I love magazines too. I whittle them down to my very favorites and try to get rid of the rest. One magazine I still have stacks of is Victoria from way back in the late 80s & early 90s. I still love them!
I have lots of Victoria too. I save all Christmas issues of most of my magazines and pick through the rest.
